If you have Netflix Streaming, I highly encourage you to check it out at this moment. There are a multitude of fashion related documentaries. Some I've seen on Netflix before and have already watched and there are also some new additions as well. Currently I'm watching L'Amour Fou, which focuses on Yves Saint-Laurent. Yves partner in business and life, Pierre Berge, is our narrator and talks of Yves personality, how the business started, their famous art collection and more than I ever thought I'd know about Yves and his life. It's an intimate story and actually takes places at the time their art collection was being boxed up to be auctioned off. I recommend this title.
L'Amour Fou can be translated down to "crazy love."
Others documentaries I have watched or planned on watching now that they are streaming: The Spetember Issue, The Tents, Seamless, Unzipped, Valentino: The Last Emporer, Vidal Sassoon: The Movie, Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston. The TV shows All on the Line (with Elle's Creative Director Joe Zee) and Kell on Earth are also ones I watched when they were first airing on TV and are now available for streaming.
If you've watched any of these, let me know what you think!
